Agricultural Biodiversity

Catalog description

An interactive introduction to the value, measurement, and management of biodiversity in agricultural areas. Discussions will consider both the “planned biodiversity” selected by managers (crops and livestock) and the “associated biodiversity” (all the other organisms existing in agroecosystems). The overarching goal is to recognize biodiversity as an integral component of sustainable agriculture. A semester-long term project is a key output of the course.
