Catalog description

In this course, students will learn the foundations of how to read and interpret scientific research articles, which involves identifying article components, reading figures and data, and interpreting findings. Students will also be able to evaluate the scientific rigor of research articles and apply this knowledge to clinical questions about communication disorders. Lastly, students will learn critical professional writing skills such as evidence-based writing, reference formatting, and critical analysis. Satisfies: Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS)
