An introduction to the nature and methods of social research, including both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Topics may include: hypothesis formulation and testing; how to design a research project, collect and analyze data; elementary statistical procedures; and ethical issues. Prerequisite: SOC 104 or SOC 105 or SOC 224 or SOC 304.
