Catalog description

This course covers business issues related to procurement and supplier management in a corporate setting. Topics include the organizational roles and responsibilities of procurement, fundamental purchasing and strategic sourcing concepts, and supplier/vendor management (selection, evaluation, contracting, and dispute negotiations). The course is also designed to emphasize the importance of effective procurement interactions among internal functional units within an organization. Not open to students with credit in SCM 402. Prerequisite: Corequisite: SCM 325 or SCM 401. Enrollment restricted.
