Catalog description
This course provides an introduction to electricity and magnetism with the specific goal of preparing students for upper-level physics and astronomy courses. As such, this course is recommended for students who are majoring in Astronomy, Physics, or Engineering Physics. This course is also the honors section of PHSX 212 and PHSX 236. Prerequisite: ASTR, PHSX, or EPHX major or permission of instructor; (PHSX 216 & PHSX 211) or PHSX 213; Concurrent enrollment in MATH 127 or MATH 147. Satisfies: Goal 3 Natural Sciences (GE3N) , Lab and Field Experiences (LFE) , Natural and Physical Sciences (NPS) , Honors
