Operations Management - Internship in Ops Mgmt

Catalog description
The student completes an internship in industry in operations management under the supervision of a manager to learn practical aspects of operations management. Students interested in pursuing this internship option are fully responsible for securing an opportunity with an organization. Students must prepare a proposal outlining their planned activities, obtain approval from the organization supervisor, and submit it to the course instructor for authorization at least two weeks before beginning the internship. Approval forms will not be accepted after the internship has started. At a minimum, students must submit a final report and presentation, and a satisfactory evaluation from the supervisor is required to earn credit. Graded on a satisfactory/unsatisfactory basis. Prerequisite: Completion of 12 credits of Operations Management (OMGT) courses or instructor approval.
