Catalog description
This is the fourth in a five-part didactic series focused on the art and science of nurse anesthesiology. Students will deepen their knowledge of perioperative anesthetic management for patients with cardiac, thoracic, vascular, transplant, neurological, and spine conditions. The course covers neuromonitoring and reviews related anatomy. Through advanced coursework, students will strengthen their critical thinking, problem-solving, and clinical reasoning skills to integrate didactic knowledge into clinical practice. Additionally, students will critically evaluate current research to identify and apply evidence-based best practices to course topics. Prerequisite: Satisfactory completion of NURA 813 or permission of the Instructor.
