Catalog description

This course examines the origins and development of nursing science. Students will explore nursing knowledge from diverse philosophical and Indigenous perspectives as well as the natural and human sciences. Different conceptions of broad topics such as knowledge, personhood, the body, health and illness, and technology will be examined for the investigation of nursing phenomena. Prerequisite: Admission to the Ph.D. program or consent of instructor.
