Catalog description

This course introduces students to advanced concepts, principles, and practices of 3D digital modeling. Students are given instructions in 3D modeling techniques, including the production of geometric and organic surfaces and forms. Students will develop comprehensive skills with manufacturing-related software and hardware to create jewelry designs from concepts to photorealistic renderings and casting-ready models using Rhinoceros, Matrix, Clayoo, V-ray rendering, and 3D manufacturing. Prerequisite: ART 132 or permission of instructor.
