Catalog description

Covers federal constitutional provisions that apply to criminal prosecutions in the United States. Course coverage also includes some state and federal criminal procedure rules and statutes, which both codify and supplement constitutional provisions. The course moves from the initiation of the criminal prosecution through sentencing and post-conviction processes. Some of the topics covered in this class are covered on the bar exam. Criminal Procedure: Investigation is not a prerequisite for this course.
