Law - Domestic Terrorism

Catalog description

This Homeland Security course will study the historical development behind ideologies of violent extremist domestic terror groups and how certain ideologies have evolved over the last approximately 50 years. There will be discussions of how the United States government and U. S. Law Enforcement have attempted to address the issues surrounding investigating and prosecuting Domestic Terror groups, including an analysis of key Federal statutes that have been utilized to prosecute these types of cases and examination of specific domestic terror events. Prerequisite: Permission required from the Director of Homeland Security: Law and Policy Program.
