Catalog description

An Honors section of JMC 304. This course will emphasize journalistic and strategic writing in creating coherent and engaging content. It will build on JMC 104, helping students sharpen their writing and interviewing skills for text and audio/video and sharpen their judgment in choosing information, sources and story forms. Must be completed with a grade of C (2.0) or higher to advance in the JMC curriculum. Students must be admitted to the School of Journalism and Mass Communications, journalism minor or in an approved concentration in order to enroll in JMC 305. Prerequisite: JMC 101, and JMC 104 or passage of the School's Grammar Basics course. May be taken after or concurrently with JMC 302. Open only to students in the KU Honors Program. Satisfies: Goal 2 Outcome 1 (GE21) , Honors
