Information Systems Technology - Business Data Networks

Catalog description

This course introduces business students to the concepts of data networking and the role it plays within the business environment. The course balances practical application and network theory and covers common architecture models, network topologies, and protocols in local and wide area networks (LAN and WAN). The course also delves into the operating characteristics of the Internet and related protocol suites. Conceptual learning is supported by team exercises and projects. Not open to students with credit in IST 330. Prerequisite: BSAN 310 (or BSAN 311). Enrollment restricted.
