Catalog description

This elective will allow the medical student to develop skills in assessing and managing female patients who have complex reproductive endocrinology disorders. The student will also gain experience with diagnosis and the treatment options for female and male infertility. This elective will provide experience in office and operative procedures including hysteroscopic procedures utilizing the morcellator, which may include polypectomy, lysis of adhesions and myomectomy procedures. Prerequisite: GYNO 900, permission of instructor and clerkship director.
