Catalog description

This course provides an introduction to insurance, with emphasis on the distribution, underwriting, claim, and actuarial functions of an insurance company. The role and types of reinsurance are also examined, as are the regulatory activities that impact an insurance company’s operations. Not open to students who have taken FIN 208.
