Catalog description

A directed reading and research course for economics majors. The course involves the preparation of a research paper under the supervision of a faculty member whose area of interest and specialization corresponds with the area of study selected by the student. Note that a maximum of 3 credits total of ECON 597 and ECON 697 can count for the elective requirements of any economics degree. Formerly known as ECON 597. Not open to students with credit in ECON 597. Prerequisite: Completion of ECON 520 or ECON 522 or ECON 526, along with approval of the Director of Undergraduate Studies and selected faculty member. Satisfies: Capstone (CAP)
