Catalog description
An introduction to probability and statistical methods for empirical work in economics. Probability, random variables, sampling, descriptive statistics, probability distributions, estimation hypothesis testing, introduction to the regression model. Formerly known as ECON 426. Not open to students with credit in ECON 426. Prerequisite: Any of the following: MATH 101, MATH 104, MATH 115, MATH 116, MATH 125, MATH 126, or MATH 127.
