Skillful teachers attend to what matters most for the learning and development of their students while they adapt to changing contexts. They draw on the science of learning and development to establish Supportive Environments that promote healthy attachments and strong relationships, create a sense of belonging and build relational trust with and amongst learners in their classrooms and schools. In this portfolio, you will draw on your clinical experience and elaborate on the rationale for how selected strategies from this domain are most likely to produce positive outcomes for your learners, present evidence of implementation of research-based concepts and strategies with learners, identify how another concept from another quadrant or domain is relevant in the learning context, and reflect on how your understanding and practice in this domain has deepened over time. Domain E: Grounding in the Science of Learning & Development (SoLD).
