Skillful teachers use the science of learning and development flexibly and are able to apply Productive Instructional Strategies that connect to learner experience, support conceptual understanding and develop their metacognitive abilities to enhance their understanding. In this portfolio, you will draw on your clinical experience and elaborate on the rationale for how selected strategies from this domain are most likely to produce positive outcomes for your learners, present evidence of implementation of research-based concepts and strategies with learners, identify how another concept from another quadrant or domain is relevant in the learning context, and reflect on how your understanding and practice in this domain has deepened over time. Domain E: Grounding in the Science of Learning & Development (SoLD).
