Catalog description
Effective teachers need to anticipate student misconceptions before they prepare their lessons, plan to make learner thinking visible by eliciting their thinking through different modalities, and use this information to assess understanding. In this competency you will be able to assess learning through formative assessments (elicitation and feedback), compare the affordance and limitations of different modes of formative assessments, and analyze learner responses to identify prior knowledge and alternate conceptions. Domain A: Assessing Learning.
