Catalog description

Skillful teachers go beyond the symptoms of challenges they face to design enduring solutions for their learners. They step back from the immediate demands of their situation to reflect and gather input from multiple sources. They then distill what matters most into design principles and reframe the problem as necessary. They develop experiments from which they can test out assumptions, ideas and practices. In this competency, you will engage in the entire design cycle, with a focus on developing proficiency with the process and tools for data gathering and reflection, to use the science of learning and development to guide you as you identify relevant principles, and to define the design problem. Domain G: Professional Learning.
