Effective educators realize that learning different subjects in STEM is like learning a different language, and this poses a challenge for all learners, particularly those whose primary language is not English. Through this module, you will be able to draw from a variety of research-informed language strategies (vocabulary, reading and writing) into your lesson as appropriate, based on learner needs and your goals, so they can develop the specialized linguistic skills and understandings they need to engage deeply with the subject matter.
