This course provides an in-depth examination of the procedural aspects of the criminal justice system in the United States. Students will study the constitutional principles and legal frameworks governing criminal procedures, including search and seizure, arrest, interrogation, and the rights of the accused. Topics include the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Eighth Amendments, landmark Supreme Court decisions, and the role of law enforcement, prosecutors, defense attorneys, and judges in the criminal process.
