Catalog description

This course explores historical and contemporary perspectives on rhetoric, the use of language and other symbols to persuade or influence audiences. Emphasis will be placed on examining historical and enduring concepts, theories, and questions, as well as key figures in the discipline. Students will grow their critical thinking skills and develop a greater understanding of the culture-shaping role of rhetoric throughout history and in the world today.
