Catalog description
This course introduces the concepts and practices of analytical modeling and the supporting data/information infrastructure within an organization. The course covers issues related to data sourcing and retrieval, data modeling, data discovery, data consolidation, data cleansing, data preparation, data privacy, and cybersecurity. Analytical techniques and emerging technologies for the exploration, discovery, experimentation, and creation of appropriate performance metrics are used in hands-on exercises. Prerequisite: ACCT 200 and ECON 142 (or ECON 143); Prior completion or co-enrollment in BSAN 202 (or BSAN 203).
