Catalog description
A laboratory course on the genetic analysis of bacteria. Includes mutagenesis, cloning, agarose and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, PCR, regulation of gene expression, and computational analysis of DNA sequences and protein structures. Prerequisite: BIOL 402 and concurrent or prior enrollment in BIOL 518; or consent of instructor. Satisfies: Lab and Field Experiences (LFE)
