Catalog description

Students will acquire practical experience with astronomical equipment and as well as with data reduction techniques used in research and educational contexts. ASTR 596, combined with an independent research experience, provides a pathway for students to demonstrate creativity and the integration of background knowledge. Prerequisite: ASTR 391 and ASTR 591 and EECS 138 or EECS 168 or EECS 169 or PHSX 315. Satisfies: Goal 6 Outcome 1 (AE61) , Capstone (CAP)
