Catalog description
Develops foundational listening skills for beginning multilingual learners of English. Focuses on listening for the gist in routine interactions and everyday situations. Emphasizes listening for key vocabulary and main ideas in short, simple conversations, narratives, interviews, and presentations on cultural themes. Designed to move students from CEFR A1/A2 to CEFR A2+ in Listening. Formerly Formerly AECL 10: Listening, Speaking and Grammar for Academic Purposes I. Prerequisite: Placement by the Applied English Center.
