Catalog description

Develops foundational speaking skills for beginning multilingual learners of English. Focuses on practical communication skills and accurate keyword pronunciation for daily life. Emphasizes exchange of basic information and participation in short conversations on everyday activities such as habits, routines, plans, and past events. Designed to move students from CEFR A1/A2 to CEFR A2+ in Speaking. Formerly AECL 10: Listening, Speaking and Grammar for Academic Purposes I. Prerequisite: Placement by the Applied English Center.
