Catalog description
Develops foundational vocabulary and reading skills for beginning multilingual learners of English. Focuses on emergent literacy development through the decoding of short or simplified texts. Emphasizes vocabulary exposure through a range of text types and topics, as well as the promotion of comprehension of both textual and visual information. Designed to move students from CEFR A1/A2 to CEFR A2+ in Vocabulary and Reading. Formerly AECR 10 Reading, Writing, and Grammar for Academic Purposes I. Prerequisite: Placement by the Applied English Center.
