Catalog description

Preliminary design techniques for a space system. Systems engineering; orbital mechanics; spacecraft subsystems including propulsion, attitude control, power, thermal command and data, communications, and structures; and ethics and social responsibility for engineers. Written technical reports. Prerequisite: AE 360 or EPHX 521, AE 421, AE 508 or AE 509, ME 212 with a C- or higher, and CHEM 150 or CHEM 130 and CHEM 149, or permission of instructor. Satisfies: Capstone (CAP)
