Lecture course. The history of illustration and illustrators from the mid-19th century to the present. Discussions on social, political, and technical events and their effects on the styles, techniques, and trends in the profession of illustration. Upon completion of this course, students will adeptly recognize and articulate key figures, pivotal events, and significant trends in Illustration. They will acquire the skills to construct articulate, clear, and concise arguments, proficiently expressing their thoughts through written, spoken, and visually communicated forms of expression.
