Catalog description

This course is designed to develop an understanding of ethical guidance in the tax practice, focusing on the constitutional and legislative sources of tax law, administrative regulations, rulings, and judicial interpretations. Additional topics include working with the IRS, tax practice and administration, and tax planning basics. Students will learn how to complete tax research and communication of tax issues by using an online tax research service and by drafting various types of tax related communications. Prerequisite: Corequisite of ACCT 732 and admission to the MAcc program.
