Applied Behavioral Science - Experimental Analysis Behavior

Catalog description

The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the experimental analysis of behavior and its core concepts, principles, and methods. The course emphasizes the behavioral processes by which consequences select and shape behavior, with a strong focus on experimental methodology, direct measurement, and the quantitative analysis of behavior. The course examines the functional relations between the environment and behavior across human and nonhuman organisms. Through the analysis of classic and contemporary empirical research, students will develop conceptual fluency in behavior analysis and examine how experimental findings inform applied and translational work. Prerequisite: ABSC 304.
