This course studies the fundamental roles and importance of transportation in companies and society. The course evaluates the complex environment in which transportation services are provided and discusses how to adapt to a fast-paced and rapidly changing industry. Specific topics include overview of transportation, supply chain, the economy, traditional modes of transportation, special carriers, global transportation, economic and operating characteristics of each mode, cost, prices, carrier s
