Math Literacy Mathematics

Catalog description

This course is designed to be an alternative developmental mathematics path for non-STEM majors who plan to take general education mathematics and/or general education statistics. Topics in this course are presented in context and focus on numeracy, proportional reasoning, algebraic reasoning and functions. In addition to algebra topics, this courses promotes developing mathematical reasoning through problem solving, critical thinking, data analysis, and the writing and communication of mathemat
