Foundations of Reading Education

Catalog description

This course is designed for the education students who need a foundations course in the teaching of reading. The primary goals of the course will be to identify, discuss, and reflect upon research-based reading practices. Particular emphasis will be placed on reading principles, procedures, methods, techniques, current practices, and institutional materials. This course is designed to introduce students to multiple perspectives of reading instruction representing a comprehensive and balanced vie
