Survey of Art-1800 to Present Art

Catalog description

This course surveys art from the 19th century to the present. Emphasis is on the forms and the aesthetic value of art objects as well as the cultural and historical conditions that shape art. Students are provided a basis for analyzing and appreciating contemporary art forms, including painting, sculpture, architecture, and photography.
