NUR612 Promoting Equity and Social Justice to Improve Healthcare

Catalog description

This course provides the students with the clinical knowledge and skills to advocate for and enact transformative changes that promote equity and social justice in healthcare organizations, across healthcare disciplines, and throughout society-at-large. Students will evaluate factors that contribute to health disparities and inequities among marginalized populations. Strategic planning, policy development, and governance are discussed as strategies to ensure that all individuals receive fair and just treatment.
