NUR455 Care of the High Acuity Client

Catalog description

This course is designed to build and expand on the delivery of safe, quality nursing care related to various complex medical-surgical conditions and alterations in health. Emphasis will be given to treating the client as a whole and using integrative, culturally appropriate nursing care to promote optimal health and wellness. Using Maslow’s hierarchy and the nursing process, students will study the care of critically ill, high acuity, complex clients and identify priorities, interventions, and goals for safe patient-centered nursing care.
