Catalog description

This course provides students with the knowledge and theoretical information required for holistic nursing practice. Content is based on the foundational principles and standards formulated by the American Holistic Nursing Association. This course provides an understanding of practicing holistic nursing within diverse communities. Students will explore the integration of body, mind, spirit, and culture as they impact health and wellness. Strategies used to assess the health and wellness status of individuals are explored. The concept of holistic nurse as a coach and advocate for improved health and wellness are discussed.
