Catalog description

This course will build on the principles learned about fundamental holistic nursing practice and pharmacologic interventions as well pathophysiology to concentrate on the integrative care of adult and geriatric clients with a variety of disease processes. Maslow’s hierarchy is used to assist students to learn prioritization and individualization of care. Nonconventional approaches to improving health and wellness will be examined. The students will spend 112.5 clinical hours caring for adult and geriatric clients in acute care.
