Catalog description

This course focuses on mental and emotional health for individuals, families, and communities across the lifespan. Students will learn about applying principles of the nursing process to mental health patients in a variety of settings using therapeutic communication, milieu therapy, and biologic interventions. The 37.5 hours of lecture content is supported by 22.5 hours in the clinical mental health setting.
