NUR320 Holistic Nursing and Health Assessment

Catalog description

This course provides students with the knowledge and theoretical information required for holistic nursing practice. Content is based on the foundational principles and standards formulated by the American Holistic Nurses Association. This course provides a direct care clinical activity requiring a patient assessment. Students will explore the integration of body, mind, spirit, and culture as they impact health and wellness. Strategies used to assess the health and wellness status of individuals are explored. The concept of the holistic nurse as a coach and advocate for improved health and wellness is discussed.
