Catalog description
This course introduces students to the complexities of medication administration in current nursing practice. Students will learn principles of medical pharmacology, pharmacodynamics, drug classification, and effect on client health and well-being. Emphasis is placed on safe drug administration that includes legal and ethical implications. Nonconventional therapies and alternative treatment options to restore wellness will be examined. 45 hours will be spent in lecture.
