Catalog description

A lecture/lab course designed to introduce movement for the stage. Movement is an important element of the actor's craft. This course will focus on freeing the body/mind in order to understand, develop, and recognize natural physical actions and rhythms in order to apply it within future performances and rehearsals. This course is also designed to help students gain better control of their bodies so that they may learn to move thoughtfully and deliberately with confidence. Collaborative exploration, ensemble work and workshopping are other key course components.
