Catalog description
This course is designed to introduce students to theory and research on the biological, physical, social, and cognitive development of the human child from conception to adolescence. Topics may include genetic factors, prenatal development, neurobiolgical approaches, physical development, cognitive processes, language acquisition, emotional and social maturation, and the contextual influences on development. Deviations from normal child development will be highlighted. ~
