Catalog description
This course provides an introduction to the basic principles and concepts of physics. It provides an overview in the areas of mechanics, heat, sound, properties of matter, electromagnetism, optics and atomic/nuclear physics, and applies insights gained to explain common experiences such as the color of the sky. Students are also introduced to the use of microcomputers in physics. This course is designed to transfer as a lab science. A student cannot receive credit for both PHYS 100 and PHYS 101. ~
