This course is an introduction to basic elements of the French language and cultural background of the French-speaking world, offered for those who have had no French or have had one year of high school French. The emphasis is on the development of the four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) in practical and realistic situations meaningful to beginning students. ~
