Catalog description
This course contains lecture and hands-on skills. In Illinois, the First Responder/Emergency Medical Responder(EMR)uses a limited amount of equipment to perform an assessment and complete stabilizing interventions until the arrival of EMT's and/or paramedics. Upon successful completion, adult students will be eligible toreceive EMR licensure fromthe Illinois Department of Public Health. This course is a required prerequisite to the JJC Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course.
